What is face sculpting?
Face sculpting refines the face’s proportions. Depending on your goal it can remove buccal fat to slim full cheeks, add volume where it’s lost, and tighten the skin — for a more defined, balanced look.
The techniques
- Buccal fat removal: a small amount of cheek fat is removed through a tiny incision inside the mouth to sharpen the cheek hollow.
- Fat transfer: your own fat is injected to restore volume to hollow areas (temples, cheeks) for balance.
- Laser / energy tightening: firms the skin and refines the contour, often alongside the above.
Is it permanent?
Buccal fat removal is permanent. Fat transfer is long-lasting once the surviving fat settles (some is naturally reabsorbed), while energy tightening lasts a few years and can be refreshed.
Results
A more defined, sculpted face appears as swelling settles over a few weeks, with the final look over about three months — natural, not overdone, when planned well.
Risks
As with any procedure: temporary swelling and bruising, and — rarely — asymmetry or over-removal, which is why conservative, experienced planning matters.
